South Antrim Football League Round Up 28/04/12
WARREN YM II came close to causing a big upset in the quarter finals of the Gordon Hanna Trophy, when they came back from 0-2 and 2-3 down to draw 3-3 with Belvoir FC, but they lost 6-5 on penalties.
Colin Jamison arrived 15 minutes late at Braniel YM, but he scored all four goals when Ballyymacash came back from 0-2 and 1-3 down to earn a penalty shoot-out, which they won 5-4. In the other quarter finals, First Lisburn beat Belvoir II 6-1 and Lambeg Rangers won 5-0 against Ballymacash YM II.
The Supplementary Plate semi-finals have also been decided with Braniel YM II playing First Lisburn and Warren YM II meeting South Antrim
The final of the Supplementary Cup will be played at Stanley Park (Lisburn Rangers ground) with Lambeg Rangers, who beat Braniel YM 4-3 in extra time after being 1-3 down, taking on Ballymacash YM, who came back from 0-2 down to beat Glaston 4-2 with two late goals.
In Division 1, South Antrim stayed in the title hunt with two late goals from Jamie Magill which ousted Orangefield OB III 2-1. Sporting Lisburn II beat Lambeg Rangers II 6-3 and Warren YM II won 6-1 against Dunmurry Inn.
