South Antrim Football League Round Up 21/04/12

THERE was an exciting finish to the group games in the Supplementary Cup after Lambeg Rangers drew 1-1 with Sporting Lisburn and Ballymacash YM were held to a 3-3 draw by Bloomfield III, which meant Lambeg topped Group B on goals scored.  Glaston beat Ballynafeigh YM 5-0 to head Group A from Braniel YM, which means Glaston play Ballymacash and Lambeg take on Braniel in Saturday's semi-finals at the Barbour Playing Fields, 2 pm.

First Lisburn slipped up in Division 1 after being held to a 1-1 draw by Belvoir FC II, but the top game in the division between South Antrim and Colin Valley III was abandoned after a South player suffered a broken leg.  Ballymacash YM II had a 5-1 win over Lambeg Rangers II and Warren YM II continued their impressive winning run with a 4-1 victory over Braniel YM II.

In the Premier Division Braniel beat Ashfield Athletic 7-1 and in a Supplementary Cup match Belvoir had a 2-0 win over Lambeg Star.
