Carniny got off to a good star with Jordan Graham scoring on the 10th minute then following this up with a second goal scored by Ciaran McGarry on the 20th minute. Kilbride tried hard to get back into the game after this but at half-time Carniny were still two goals to the good.

Kilbride went looking for goals in the second half getting back in to the game when Adie Biggerstaff scored on the 68th minute and after this Carniny were down to ten men after having a man sent off. Time then began to run down with Carniny holding out for the win.
