I'll have to agree with stepover on that one scott. The scottish league threads never reached the level that the micheal moore thread' reached. I was disgusted to read some of the post especially the one from nycstar.

At this time I am not prepared to have those threads and discussions, I have not decided whether it will be permanent or not. At the moment I am looking to try and get back to basics and sort out the financial backing of the site, as without out there will be no site full stop.
It is all well and good saying the moderators etc should do more, but I beleive that everyone cand do more to help out by what is posted in your replies. It is not always a few that are only there to cause problems as at times others get involved where they don't need to.
You may not always agree but I am asking for you to respect my decision.

I don't want to limit what is talked about on the site but until I can get the site running a bit more smoothly than it is at the moment certain things will have top be sacrificed.
I as site administrator am supposed to create several new topics on a daily basis to keep the discussions an interest going. Unfortunatelty I have never been able to do this as time just does not permit, but the rest of the users of the forum have always done a very good job.
Recenly for whatever reason even the weekly predictions/results threads are either not being created or no one is replying. There had been calls to remove the Gers/Celtic threads as users where not talking enough about local football. Well those threads are now gone and this has made no difference. Users are getting lazy and even posting replies in the previous topics instead of creating a new one.
A few have expressed that there is no craic anymore, I have no answer for this and I don't know what will help. I have asked several times for some help in creating new topics of discussions etc and a few have stepped up, but it doesn't last too long.
I need help for this site and not just people to help moderate posts, we all need to be a bit more active in creating topics of discussions.

I have been reading lately about your cencern over amount of 'hits' etc on the site, does the withdrawal of old-firm have an impact on this? If there was a scottish football section, and if those with absolutley no interest refrained from posting in it, I think it would be manageable. Time will tell.

maybe a few workplaces have tightened up on their IT policies scott? Preventing boys going on as much. Boys using Android/Iphones instead of computers probably limits what people post too
Definitely not as many posts leading up to matches or about matches. HAvent posted myself on this once this season but will do so in future.
The site has contributed a lot to local football the last 5 years or so and helped clubs get on better terms as well as players. Plenty of reason for people to start getting involved more again
