New York Marathon for Action Cancer
Morning boys & girls,
I'm heading off to New York on Friday to run the marathon for Action Cancer. So far this year i've ran the Belfast marathon, a couple of half marathons, done a trek through Tanzania and will be finishing off on Sunday with the marathon in NY. I've raised over £6,000 (thats not including the registration fees, flights etc ive paid for myself). My da and sister both died of cancer so i try to do as much as i can to help other people who are in similar situations.
Anyway if any of you could spare a few quid and fancy sponsoring me my justgiving page is http://www.justgiving.com/seanconlon3 or you can text SEAN84 £1 (or £2, £5, £10, £20) to 70070.
Cheers

cheers for all your donations lads, really appreciate it! its a horrible disease, i actually work for action cancer but do all the fundraising on the side as a personal thing, but its amazing the work that the charity does. as you know theres hundreds of cancer charities about, action cancer provide breast screenings for women who are outside the NHS age range, we detect 7 cancers a month and are able to send people on for treatment which dramatically increases their chances of beating it. they also do loads of school programs, mens health checks etc so i try to do as much as i can do support them as we dont get any government funding and have to raise £3.3 million a year to stay operational.
POTN im away on friday mate but i can still hand the money in after im back mate so theres no worries there. running a doo would be great, if you want me to help out with it give me a shout mate.
Cheers again everyonejustgiving.com/seanconlon5
