It probably will eventually but the on-line advertising in Northern Ireland has been slow to take off. Also one issue I have had to face is getting paid from the first agency I worked with and I am having to take them to court to pay up.
Any money from advertising is being put into the main site and in particular a project at the moment to have a single platform to work from. This work will cost a few quid which is why I was looking at alternatives for raising cash for the hosting.
More than likely there will not be a members only section of the forum as I dont see the point in it.
When the work on the main site is complete we will have a single login to it and the forum. I will be able to add subscription only content to the main site and it will be easier to maintain should open up more opportunities.
If I do have subscription only content it will be as a last resort and will go along the lines of giving the users something back in return. So if you subscribe you are allowed to enter into any competitions that will be run weekly or monthly and there will be prizes of either cash, sports goods etc.
I am also looking into some partnerships at the moment that may help but will probably be a few months into the new season before I can see the benefit from it.

If I get enough from other avenues then any money from subscriptions will all be put back into offers prizes for users of the site.
If I run things like a fantasy football league I cannot openly charge people as it is gambling and I need a license. Subscriptions would get round this and be able to have prize money.

Its not too bad at the moment, I have taken a bit of a break before getting ready for the big push for next season.
I hope to have the new site available for mid July so I can get all leagues setup for the new season.
Sneak preview of a new feature will be user specific content, when you login to the main site a section will be dedicated for the user. I.E. Latest results for your division/teams as well as latest news possibly a snippet of the league tables.
